Il Museo della Civiltà Contadina di Pisticci o Museo della Civiltà Contadina Pisticcese e Lucana, opened in 1990, preserves a large collection of material linked to the forty-year activity of collector Giuseppe Quinto, who has progressively expanded his assortment of objects since 1958. The exhibition, arranged by Quinto himself in small rooms and an adjacent outdoor area owned by the collector, features objects mainly from the territory of Pisticci. The documented themes concern field work, woodworking, clay working, forging, and iron craftsmanship. The collection also includes agricultural and domestic use objects. The items, arranged according to their use type or construction material, have never undergone cataloging procedures.
