The museum documents the daily life and work activities of the population of the Apennines. The exhibited material consists of objects collected in the territory and used until the depopulation of the mountain: objects and tools for agricultural production, for artisanal production, for domestic use, popular traditions, customs, and religiosity. Opened in 1982 as the Museum of Peasant and Artisan Civilization, it was closed for renovations in October 2001 and re-opened with a completely new setup on July 19, 2002.
