Casa-museum of the Norwegian-American sculptor Hendrik Christian Andersen (Bergen, 1872-Rome, 1940), who lived in Rome from the late 19th century until his death. Small palace built and decorated by himself from 1922 in eclectic neo-Renaissance style.

On the ground floor, two large studios with the artist’s works; on the first floor, his residence, now used for temporary exhibitions dedicated to foreign artists from the 19th and 20th centuries to contemporary times.

The Museum houses the works of the sculptor and painter Hendrik Christian Andersen. The collection of works (over two hundred sculptures of large, medium, and small sizes in plaster and bronze; over two hundred paintings; over three hundred graphic works) is notable for its uniqueness, being almost entirely centered around the utopian idea of a great “World City,” intended to be the international seat of a perpetual laboratory of ideas in the fields of arts, sciences, philosophy, religion, and physical culture.
