Built in the early 20th century, when the beach was further advanced, the Punta Tagliamento lighthouse features a 21-meter cylindrical tower, making it visible up to about 15 miles from the coast. Due to coastal erosion, breakwater embankments have been constructed around the lighthouse. During the First World War, the lighthouse was bombed but immediately reconstructed afterwards.
