Also this year, the appointment with purely Christmas events will be renewed in Dusseldorf, Germany, a city with a long tradition of celebrations and preparation in anticipation of the winter holidays.
Markets of Dusseldorf
In the historic Düsseldorf Christmas Markets, it is possible to immerse oneself in an atmosphere that smells of sweets, candied fruits, and that gives magic to visitors. There are five Düsseldorf Christmas Markets, with over 200 colorful huts located in different parts of the city center.
Each market tells of the style and history of the surrounding area, in order to harmonize with the cityscape, while knowing how to enrich the environment with decorations, music, scents, and flavors. The over 230 Christmas stalls and the 450 square meters ice rink in the city center are a real attraction.
The Düsseldorf Christmas Markets, in more detail, are located in the following places:
- Marktplatz: it is the main square of Marktplatz; the stalls have been decorated in such a way as to recall the style of the Renaissance facade of the town hall;
- Engelchenmarkt: it is the Art Nouveau style of the pavilion at Heinrich-Heine-Platz that inspired this Christmas area;
- Flingerstrasse: this market is instead bourgeois-inspired, exactly like the surrounding buildings;
- Schadowplatz: here modernity reigns supreme, also for the proposed decorations, as well as the presence of the futuristic Kö-Bogen shopping center;
- Sternchenmarkt: magic and sparkle at the forefront, for this market all played out in decorations with stars and crystals.

To be able to visit all the Düsseldorf Christmas Markets without missing any highlights, it is recommended to take a Christmas markets tour (with guides speaking German and English) organized by the city tourism office every weekend of Advent.
