The Gallery is located in a Swabian-era building, expanded in the 15th century by the Bellomo family of Syracuse, who made it their residence. In 1948, after the necessary adaptations, it became an exhibition venue. The Gallery illustrates the figurative culture in Syracuse and southeastern Sicily through collections of medieval and modern art, originating from churches and convents or through donations and purchases.
