The Gallery is located in a Swabian-era building, expanded in the 15th century by the Siracusan Bellomo family, who made it their residence. In 1948, after the necessary modifications, it became an exhibition venue. The Gallery illustrates figurative culture in Syracuse and southeastern Sicily through collections of medieval and modern art, sourced from churches and convents or through donations and acquisitions.
