Il museo del cavallino della Giara was created with the aim of enhancing and making known this unique horse breed, which still lives today on the basaltic plateau of the Giara, and of revealing the uses and customs of a territory rich in traditions partly linked to this important animal. Genoni hosts an ancient Campidanese house faithfully restored, which houses the Museo del Cavallino della Giara. The museum is mainly divided into three sections: one entirely dedicated to the Giara horse, another purely ethnographic, and finally a particularly interesting multimedia section.
