The museum consists of three sections: the first is the baroque basilica, which boasts one of the most beautiful eighteenth-century facades among the churches of eastern Sicily and inside which frescoes by Acese artists, sculptures, and furnishings can be admired; the second section includes the Treasure rooms, where precious items, sacred vessels, and liturgical furnishings in silver and gold are exhibited; the third section, located in the eighteenth-century crypt of the basilica, includes a collection of sacred vestments finely embroidered in gold and silk, finely crafted wooden statues, and paintings by renowned Sicilian artists.
