Il Museo della Ceramica since 1992 has been housed in Palazzo Sturm, a splendid eighteenth-century residence that welcomes visitors with an Ionic pronaos and an honor hall frescoed in 1765 by the Veronese Giorgio Anselmi. The dense stucco decoration that adorns some rooms constitutes one of the most important rococo decorations in Veneto. The collection of maiolica, porcelain, and earthenware consisting of about 1200 pieces is displayed chronologically: it starts from the oldest fragments of medieval ceramics to the maiolica of the Manardi (17th-18th century); the most substantial evidence is represented by the production of the Antonibon (18th-19th century). The large veranda offers an appropriate setting for the eclectic taste of the earthenware, while the old kitchen displays popular dishes and the lower floor collects works by internationally renowned artists. The Museum was expanded in 2010 thanks to the valuable bequest of ceramic artifacts from Marchese Roi.
