Dopo dieci anni di restauro e riallestimento, il Museo Stefano Bardini si presenta al pubblico.

Influenced profoundly public and private collections worldwide and the museographic solutions adopted by Bardini, such as the blue of the interiors, have been widely imitated.

With great insight Stefano Bardini rediscovered and spread the taste for Renaissance architectural decorations, stucco and terracotta sculpture, ancient oriental carpets, Venetian bronzes, leathers, frames.

Compared to the changes that took place from the ’20s to today, more related to the project of a Civic Museum than to the figure of the donor, the new arrangement recovers the spirit of the collection as desired by the antiquarian in view of the bequest to the Municipality of Florence at his death, in 1922.
