Grazie alle più moderne technologies it is possible to consult documents virtually, read books and… discover the precious stories collected in the historical archives of Pio Albergo Trivulzio and other Milanese institutions.
The Museum was established in 2009, at Corso Magenta 57, next to the historic site of the Stella girls’ orphanage. An emotional place, in the heart of Milan, where the history of men, entities, and institutions who have devoted themselves to providing medical care, education, work, and assistance to those in need is retraced.
The main innovation brought by this Museum is overcoming possible prejudices from the general public about archival institutions and archival documents, through an interactive, simple, and captivating exhibition methodology. Educational activities aim to present archival assets with the primary goal of encouraging the public to engage in critical reflection on the historical method.
The educational offer is structured into workshops aimed at involving all user groups, from school-age children, to teenagers and adults. Museo Martinitt e Stelline, Corso Magenta, 57 – 20123 Milano
