Thanks to the latest technologies, it is possible to virtually consult documents, read books, and… discover the precious stories collected in the historical archives of the Pio Albergo Trivulzio and other Milanese institutions.

The Museum was established in 2009, at Corso Magenta 57, next to the historic site of the female orphanage of Stella. An emotional place, in the heart of Milan, where you can trace the history of the people, bodies, and institutions that have dedicated themselves to offering medical care, education, work, and assistance to those in need.

The main innovation brought by this Museum lies in overcoming possible prejudices by the general public towards archival institutions and archival documents, through an interactive, simple, and captivating exhibition methodology. Educational activities aim to present archival assets with the primary goal of encouraging the public to a critical reflection on the historical method.

The educational offer is organized into workshops aimed at engaging all user groups, from school-age children to teenagers and adults. Martinitt and Stelline Museum, Corso Magenta, 57 – 20123 Milan
