Il Museo Correr offers several exciting itineraries to discover the Art and History of Venice: the first one unfolds along the Napoleonic Wing, the nineteenth-century residence of kings and emperors, in the sumptuous Neoclassical Rooms that host a remarkable collection of works by the greatest sculptor of the era, Antonio Canova (1757-1822).

From there, you proceed to the Procuratie Nuove, designed by the architect Vincenzo Scamozzi (1552-1616), where the highest magistracies of the Serenissima resided.

Here, in the spacious rooms, various aspects of Venetian Civilization are illustrated, from daily life to institutions, from maritime enterprises to city festivals; the exhibition of ancient art collections also begins here, which then find extensive space on the second floor, where the splendid picture gallery housing important masterpieces of Venetian art from its origins to the sixteenth century is located.
