“Il museo Civico Archeologico “Francesco delli Muti”, established on April 20, 1979, is located in the “Opera Pia Monaco” building, a bourgeois palace from 1860, situated at Via Sbrasile 11. The museum collections are exhibited in two rooms on the ground floor, in seven illuminated display cases accompanied by appropriate photographic documentation and a series of illustrative panels about the nature, function of the artifacts, and the archaeological areas from which they originate. The entrance shared with the “Giuseppe del Viscio” municipal Library, equipped with an ancient book heritage (incunabula, 17th-century books, 18th-century books, etc.) of considerable historical importance, also allows access for people with disabilities. The Museum carries out research, outreach, and educational activities and is managed by the Gargano Archaeological Group “Silvio Ferri” of Vico del Gargano (FG).”
