Music in Bavaria
218 theatres, operas, operettas, and musicals, of which 30 have their own ensembles, are recorded as cultural offerings. The approximately 45 castles, villages, and state residences attract more than 5 million people each year, with King Ludwig II’s castles at the top. But these are not just the most famous main points and events that make Bavaria such a beloved region. The cities are imbued with art and culture, which also applies to the capital Munich and cities like Augsburg, Nuremberg, and Regensburg just as much as to the many small localities of the country. Here can be found regional music festivals centered on classical music, rock and pop up to jazz.
