The “Vittorio Emanuele II” Gallery of Medieval, Modern and Contemporary Art, located in the elegant Villa Croze (built at the beginning of the twentieth century based on the design of Architect Carlo Costantini), hosts the Maria Fioretti Paludetti Collection, gathered and then donated to her hometown by Giovanni Paludetti (1912-2002). The original core, made up of works by Venetian authors from the early twentieth century, gradually expanded to also include examples from previous centuries, thus covering a time span from the 14th to the 20th century. Among the many artists present, we remember: Pietro Pajetta and Luigi Serena, Alessandro Pomi and Pino Casarini, Pio Semeghini, Carlo Dalla Zorza, Marco Novati, Neno Mori, Eugenio Da Venezia, Fioravante Seibezzi, Juti Ravenna, Natalino Scarpa Bentivoglio known as Cagnaccio di San Pietro, Virgilio Guidi, Filippo De Pisis, Bruno Saetti, Giuseppe Cesetti, Felice Carena, Armando Pizzinato, Guido Farina; the Treviso natives Nino Springolo and Nando Coletti and the Vittorio Veneto natives Armando Tonello, Aldo Rosolen, Delfino Varnier known as “Peo”, Gina Roma and Luigi Cillo. Among all these, the artist with the greatest number of works is Guido Cadorin, particularly dear to Prof. Paludetti, whose collection inevitably reflects his taste, culture, and personal experience.
