Where to Find Christmas Markets in New York
For those who are more sensitive to cold, it is recommended to visit the stalls of the Grand Central Terminal Holiday Fair, in the beautiful and famous station – specifically in the Vanderbilt Hall.
If, on the other hand, the climate does not scare the traveler, then there are Christmas markets outdoors for all tastes.
The Columbus Circle Holiday Market offers really everything and is very easy to reach, since it is located in a very central point, right in front of the entrance to Central Park.
Strictly white and red stalls are the protagonists of the Holiday Market, set up in Union Square. Here it is mainly handcrafted and local artists’ items that find a place on the stands, with the possibility to bring bags and belts – for example – made with recycled materials back to Italy.

Among the most famous Christmas markets in New York, the Holiday Shops at Bryant Park cannot be missed. Although this space, inside which is also the New York Public Library, may seem apparently small and cozy, about 120 Christmas stalls have been set up here where you can find a large variety of items, from clothing to home accessories, not forgetting treats to taste or hot drinks to warm up. There’s more: there is even an ice skating rink.
Christmas Markets New York in summary
The most famous ones are the one at Bryant Park (open until January 6), the one at Union Square (until December 24), and the Columbus Circle Holiday Market (also open until Christmas Eve), located right at the entrance of Central Park.
The Christmas markets in New York, therefore, will not escape the visitor’s eye, precisely because they are located in strategic points, thus easily reachable and usually included in any New York tour.
