PERUGIA – CENTRO DI DOCUMENTAZIONE E RICERCA CIRCOLO AMERINDIANO The “Circolo Amerindiano” Onlus, founded in 1977 in Perugia, is an association of scholars and enthusiasts of American studies, who deal with cultures developed in the American continent, without limits of space and time, from the Bering Strait to Tierra del Fuego and from the first human settlement up to the present day. The activities of the Circle are oriented towards the study and dissemination of the culture of the Americas and, furthermore, offer the public access to the heritage consisting of the Ethnographic Collection (650 ethnographic pieces, museum reproductions and models), the Library (over 8,000 volumes, journals and other documentation) and the Audio and Video Documentation Center (tens of thousands of photos, slides, audio and video tapes, DVDs).
