The museum displays an interesting collection of historical-artistic and archaeological assets, which testify to the history of the castle as the historic residence of the Counts of Gorizia, from the origins of the city to the 18th century. The educational section is also very interesting, consisting of models, philological reproductions of war machines at 1:1 scale, melee weapons (from 1271 to 1500), and medieval musical instruments.
