La Biblioteca Palatina di Parma has important ancient manuscript and print collections and is mainly focused on historical humanistic subjects. It collects and preserves national and local Italian publishing – the latter through mandatory deposit of printed materials – and acquires publications that document the developments of foreign culture, taking into account the specificity of its own collections and the needs of users. The library is intended for those engaged in study and research activities and for those who cannot find the desired works in other libraries.
