The Museum of the Cenacolo by Andrea del Sarto in Florence occupies much of an ancient Vallombrosan convent dedicated to San Salvi and is named after the Cenacolo, a large fresco depicting the Last Supper, located in the refectory, a masterpiece by Andrea del Sarto, one of the highlights of Renaissance painting.

In the vast rooms of the convent are important paintings from the first half of the sixteenth century, documenting the development of Florentine painting of that period.

Among these are works by Pontormo, Andrea del Sarto, Franciabigio, Raffaellino del Garbo, Giuliano Bugiardini, Bachiacca.

Also noteworthy is the Funeral Monument to Saint John Gualberto, founder of the Vallombrosans, commissioned in 1505 from Benedetto da Rovezzano and left unfinished.

On the upper floor, there is an extensive repository of works from the Florentine Galleries.
