The idea of creating a Museum of Communication Means dates back about 20 years when the Municipality of Arezzo collaborated with the Museum of the History of Science in Florence to organize an exhibition on vintage radios titled “The World at Home – the first 40 years of radio history,” which gained wide attention. For the exhibition, the cooperation of fellow citizen Fausto Casi was essential, as he provided his rich collection. Today, the collection has expanded to include other historical themes that complement the topic of the history of communications, with about 1000 items on display. The educational aspect is particularly well cared for, with tables set up for direct experiences. Additionally, in the museum’s auditorium, visitors can watch a “Holographic, Three-dimensional” film with advanced immersive technology, unique in Italy, about Galileo Galilei and his scientific discoveries. Upon request, other historical-scientific DVDs are also available.
