The destination Italy continues to grow, and TTG Incontri, the main B2B event for the tourism industry, is making a big impression: in the next edition of the event, organized by IEG (Italian Exhibition Group) from October 12 to 14, 2017, at the Rimini Fair, all regions of the Bel Paese will be present in the exhibition area, confirming the event as the largest and most comprehensive showcase of Italian tourism excellence.

Italy remains one of the most desired destinations in the collective imagination of foreign tourists. This is confirmed by the latest data: the fifth country in the world for attractiveness (with 50.7 million international arrivals), our country has a tourism industry value of 70.2 billion euros (4.2% of GDP – source World Travel and Tourism Council), which rises to 172.8 billion (10.3% of GDP) when including the industry ripple effect.

The Italian regions will have three full pavilions (20,000 square meters) available within the Rimini exhibition district, where they can present their respective tourism offers to foreign buyers (tour operators, travel agents, specialists in both leisure and business tourism) coming from Europe, North America, and Asia.

On an annual flow of tourists approaching four hundred million presences, Veneto is the most touristy region in Italy, with over 63 million, with data three times higher than Campania (19 million) and four times those of Sicily (15 million).

In the year 2017, declared by the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Dario Franceschini as the Year of Italian Villages, Italy at TTG Incontri will also have a key moment with an event to be held during TTG Forum: the Conference on Italian Villages, curated by FAI, scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2017.

Now in its 54th edition, TTG Incontri will also be held this year concurrently with Sia Guest (the Hospitality Salon celebrating its 66th edition) and the 35th SUN (International Exhibition dedicated to bathing, camping, and outdoor activities).

Over 130 destinations will be represented, distributed in the usual three thematic areas: Global Village, The World, and Italy.
