Delta Air Lines launches a new direct connection from Rome to Seattle, operated four times a week with Airbus A330-900neo, expanding its flight offerings between Italy and the United States.Delta Air Lines inaugurated its first direct flight from Rome to Seattle on May 7, 2026, marking a significant expansion of its network of connections between Italy and the United States. The new service will operate four times a week with a state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

Seattle thus becomes the sixth U.S. destination reachable directly from Rome Fiumicino with Delta, which already connects the Italian capital with New York-JFK, Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, and Minneapolis.

A strategic connection for the Italy-USA market

The new flight represents an opportunity for Italian passengers to conveniently reach the U.S. West Coast and its attractions, while facilitating access for Americans to Rome, one of the most appreciated European destinations. The connection is part of an extensive network which, during summer 2026, will see Delta operate up to 19 daily flights between Italy and the United States, departing from various Italian airports.

Investments and services in Seattle

Delta has consolidated its presence in Seattle over the past ten years, launching 28 new markets and offering up to 180 daily connections to over 60 global destinations. Seattle airport hosts new premium Delta facilities, including the Delta One Lounge and the Delta Sky Club, offering passengers an exclusive and comfortable travel experience.

The company also stands out for its sustainability investments, with a fleet of electric vehicles for baggage transport and ground operations.

The Airbus A330-900neo used on the Rome-Seattle flight offers a premium travel experience. In Delta One Suite class, passengers can enjoy fully lie-flat seats with privacy doors, gourmet menus, and a collection of bedding and amenity kits designed by Missoni. The Delta Premium Select class offers wider seats and dedicated services to ensure a comfortable journey.

All cabins feature curated dining options, a wide Delta Studio entertainment catalog with over 1000 hours of content, and free fast Wi-Fi thanks to the partnership with T-Mobile.

Summer 2026 schedules and frequencies

Flight DL43 departs from Rome at 12:20 arriving in Seattle at 15:20 on Thursdays, Saturdays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The return flight DL42 takes off from Seattle at 13:55 arriving in Rome at 10:10 the following day, operating on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays. The service is operated in cooperation with European partner Air France KLM.
