In 2022, travel is “boundless”. TTG Travel Experience, an event by Italian Exhibition Group returning from October 12 to 14 at the Rimini exhibition center, aims this year to represent a sector capable of expanding its horizons and boundaries, going beyond the traditional concept of vacation and freeing travel time by choosing destinations that offer new stimuli. This is the meaning of «Unbound», the theme of the 59th edition of TTG, which together with SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, represents the most important Italian tourism marketplace.
Domestic destinations confirm themselves as the starting point of this exploration. Regions, municipalities, products, incoming tour operators, enogastronomic, cultural, and experiential tourism operators will be the main protagonists in the pavilions of the ITALY area, whose total surface will be increased.
An enlarged THE WORLD area will bring international destinations to the fair in Rimini that choose to promote themselves on the Italian domestic market, while the historic GLOBAL VILLAGE section will host tour operators, cruise lines, airlines, along with providers of technologies and services, to showcase new commercial strategies and product innovations within the pavilion. Start-ups and innovative tourism companies will be presented in the TTG Next area, focused this year on sector digitization. TTG also reintroduces Beactive, the exhibition area dedicated to active, sports, slow, naturalistic, and sustainable tourism. A space dedicated to bloggers and influencers will be the Social Media Lounge, with speeches organized by exhibitors for product presentations and product launches.
The theme of “boundless” travel will be the common thread of talks and special projects, from company case histories to the 4th edition of Book&Go, an initiative created to bring together travel writers and bloggers and to tell new ways and perspectives of traveling and discovering the world. The TTG Person of the Year 2022 award will also be announced, established by TTG Italia magazine and dedicated to industry professionals who have distinguished themselves during the year. Digitization, sustainability, and experiences will be central to the exhibition offering, integrating the established product sectors of the event by engaging technology and service providers as well as experiential travel providers.

Special events, meetings, roadshows, and training sessions will also be scheduled to summarize the global tourism and hospitality scenarios and to showcase tourist destinations to buyers and operators. TTG’s promoted training, however, continues beyond the three days of the event in Rimini. With TTG Destination Masterclass, the content shared during the fair becomes training modules throughout the year. TTG connects the entire Italian tourism product community to position itself on foreign markets through meetings between buyers and sellers in the regions, roadshows to present foreign destinations to Italian buyers, and training events. Among these, there will be meetings with operators to spread the Travel & Hospitality Vision Masterclass: the first intensive course that, in one day, helps understand how to create new tourism products, anticipate future market trends, differentiate from competitors, innovate offerings, and gain a competitive advantage.

Concurrently with TTG, the 71st edition of SIA will be held, Italy’s most comprehensive showcase for the hospitality sector with its broad exhibition offering related to design, contract, and services, which this year expands to the open-air tourism supply chain. The world of beach tourism will be represented by SUN, in its 40th edition. In the Beach Village area, operators will find new trends for products and services for beach holidays. Technologies will be highlighted in the Sun Next Seastyle Area, to showcase the most innovative start-ups in the beach tourism sector.
Both SIA and SUN also focus on training in 2022. There will be numerous events, seminars, and talks organized to provide tourism professionals with the tools to compete in the market and become true Hospitality Innovators. Topics such as renewing beach concessions, security, ecology, catering, innovation, and accessibility will be addressed with the support of accredited training partners.
