Expedia Group: new features for travel agents

New features to help travel agents prepare for the holiday season. These improvements are available to members of the Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) and include the extension of Live Agent Chat for agents and a streamlined quoting process.

The new features are available to members of the Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP) and include the extension of Live Agent Chat for agents and an optimized procedure for creating quotes.

The Live Agent Chat connects agents with an agent at any time. Previously only available to TAAP agents in the United States and Canada, the service will now be accessible in other markets, including Australia, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. In the coming months, TAAP will also extend Live Agent Chat to other countries and it will be translated into local languages.

With the new optimized Live Agent Chat, travel agents worldwide now have more opportunities to choose a customer support channel that suits their preferences. Additionally, thanks to easy-to-use features, TAAP agents can quickly resolve booking issues, saving time and focusing on offering exceptional travel experiences.

The new quoting service features allow TAAP agents to name and save quotes for future use, review and modify them, and quickly start reservations from a saved quote. Moreover, the update enables agents to track and manage all their quotes in one place for greater visibility and convenience.

Expedia Group has also announced increased marketing resources for agents, including over 300 customizable templates for social media, email marketing, banners, and more. The marketing offer is designed to help TAAP agents gain a competitive advantage by increasing visibility and traveler engagement.

Expedia Group TAAP provides travel agents with access to a wide range of travel offers, including over a million properties, 200,000 activities, 175 car rentals, and 500 airlines.
