Costa Cruises: new destinations and iconic places

Italian and international travelers can now book Costa cruises for 2024, promising even more unforgettable experiences thanks to the new "Sea Destinations" introduced by the company.

Beyond the classic landings in cities like Barcelona, Naples and Mykonos, passengers can enjoy extraordinary moments directly onboard, such as a sunset party in the bay of Formentera or a typical Caprese breakfast facing the Faraglioni of Capri.

Itineraries in the Western Mediterranean

For the 2024 season, Costa Cruises offers three ships dedicated to the Western Mediterranean, with one-week cruises visiting some of the most fascinating destinations in Italy, France and Spain. The modern twin ships Costa Smeralda and Costa Toscana, together with Costa Pacifica, will offer cruisers the opportunity to explore iconic locations such as Marseille, Barcelona and Naples, as well as immerse themselves in new “on-board” experiences, like watching the cetacean sanctuary or attending a mesmerizing show in the Bay of Capri.

Costa Smeralda

Departing from Genoa every Friday, this ship will call at Marseille, Barcelona, the Sea Destination of the Balearic Sea / Sea of Stars, Cagliari, the Sea Destination of the Bay of Capri, Naples and Civitavecchia / Rome, with a final stop at the Cetacean Sanctuary.

Costa Toscana

Sailing from Savona every Saturday, the twin of Costa Smeralda, the company’s flagship, Costa Toscana, will visit the Sea Destination of the Calanche National Park Bay, Marseille, Barcelona, Ibiza, the Sea Destination of the Formentera Bay, Palermo and Civitavecchia / Rome, ending with the Cetacean Sanctuary. In spring and fall, Ibiza will be replaced by Palma de Mallorca.

Costa Pacifica

Departing from Savona every Sunday, Costa Pacifica will explore the Cetacean Sanctuary, Civitavecchia / Rome, Olbia, Palma de Mallorca, the Sea Destination of the Ibiza Bay, Valencia and Marseille.

Itineraries in the Eastern Mediterranean

Another three ships from the Costa fleet will be dedicated to the Eastern Mediterranean, offering unique experiences in Greece and Turkey.

Costa Fortuna

This ship will propose a completely new summer itinerary, with departures every Friday from Athens exploring Istanbul and the splendid Greek islands of Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes and Santorini. Some departures will also include Bodrum in Turkey or the Greek island of Kos instead of Rhodes. The Sea Destinations on this itinerary will be the Dardanelles Strait, the bay of Mykonos and the Santorini archipelago.

Costa Fascinosa

The week-long cruises of this ship will visit Catania, Taranto, the Abyss Calypso Sea Destination, Mykonos, the Santorini archipelago Sea Destination, Santorini, Malta and Etna Skyline.

Costa Deliziosa

This ship will offer a weekly itinerary including Marghera / Venice, Bari, the Sea Destinations of the Mykonos bay and the Ionian Sea / Sea of Stars, Katakolon (near Olympia) and Lido di Venezia. In October, it will host a week-long itinerary from Trieste and Bari exploring Croatia, Greece, and Montenegro.

Cruises in Northern Europe

For summer 2024, two Costa ships, Favolosa and Diadema, will be dedicated to Northern Europe, offering cruisers the chance to immerse themselves in breathtaking landscapes among fjords, mountain villages, and the Midnight Sun phenomenon.

Costa Favolosa

This ship will propose three different itineraries, from 13 to 22 days, departing from Hamburg with destinations like North Cape, the Lofoten Islands, Iceland and Greenland. Additionally, it will offer a new 8-day itinerary dedicated to Scotland.

Costa Diadema

The weekly cruises of this ship in the Norwegian fjords will include the Sea Destinations of the Geirangerfjord, the Norwegian Sea / Midnight Sun and the Baltic Sea / Starry Sea.

Mini Cruises and Special Itineraries

For those with only a few days available, Costa Cruises proposes mini cruises of 3 and 4 days in the Western Mediterranean, with spring and autumn departures aboard Costa Pacifica, Costa Fascinosa and Costa Fortuna.

Additionally, in the same season, Costa Diadema, Costa Favolosa and Costa Fascinosa will offer two-week cruises visiting the Canary Islands, Lisbon or Morocco. Not to miss is the Costa Fascinosa cruise to the Azores.

For undecided travelers in the Mediterranean, Costa Fortuna will offer two-week cruises visiting both the Balearic Islands and Greek islands, or alternatively Turkey and Tunisia.

The World Tour 2025 with Costa Deliziosa

The 2025 edition of Costa Cruises’ World Tour, onboard Costa Deliziosa, will circumnavigate the globe mainly in the Southern Hemisphere, visiting destinations such as Tierra del Fuego, Polynesia, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. For the first time, departures will be in December, allowing passengers to spend the Christmas holidays on a cruise and witness the spectacular New Year’s celebration in Rio de Janeiro.
