Trip.com has integrated Arenaways tickets on its platform, offering Italian travelers simplified access to regional train routes and expanding train travel options in the national market.
Trip.com has expanded its rail offering in Italy to include tickets for Arenaways, a private railway operator. This integration allows travelers to book regional routes directly on the platform, simplifying the search and purchase of tickets in one place. The partnership enables combining connections between major cities and regional routes, facilitating the planning of integrated itineraries with stays and local experiences. Among the regional routes available is Savigliano–Cuneo, thus expanding travel possibilities for users.
According to Trip.com data, between January and April 2025 domestic rail bookings grew by 33% compared to the same period the previous year, with especially high demand on connections between major Italian cities. Furthermore, there is steady interest for international connections to and from Italy, including Milan-Paris, Turin-Paris, Milan-Zurich, Paris-Milan, and Ventimiglia-Nice.
Alvaro Ungurean, Commercial Director Europe – International Trains at Trip.com Group, emphasized how the integration of Arenaways helps simplify the planning of regional rail travel, traditionally complex due to the fragmentation of operators and booking channels.
Matteo Arena , General Manager of Arenaways, highlighted the importance of this collaboration to make the train a more accessible and flexible means of transport, confirming the intention to expand the offer of routes and train categories in the near future.
Trip.com thus continues to strengthen its position in the Italian rail market, offering travelers integrated solutions and a simplified booking experience.
