Saturnia, terme nella Maremma toscana

The slopes of the Tuscan hills and the colors of unspoiled nature give the landscape a relaxing and timeless atmosphere, far from traffic and city chaos. The waters of the Saturnia thermal spring, which flow at a temperature of 37 degrees, are accessible from the Saturnia spa hotel, where it is possible to enjoy treatments or spend a day in the pools with a daily entrance. However, it is possible to enjoy a unique experience in contact with nature, at the natural waterfall of the old mill, not far from the spring, where natural pools of sulfurous water have formed from the flow of the waterfall water, generating natural whirlpools.
The historic center, a few kilometers away, partly preserves the appearance of the ancient village, given by the ancient Roman walls and the Porta di Roma, crossed by the Clodia road, the Aldobrandesca fortress from the medieval period and the Church of Santa Maria Maddalena. In the numerous bars and restaurants, it is possible to taste the local flavors: the typical Tuscan acquacotta, vegetable and egg soup, pici, long pasta made with water and flour, as well as ricotta from nearby Manciano, with a unique and inimitable flavor.
