Il museo Dolomythos in Alta Pusteria, nel centro di San Candido, offre extraordinary treasures, discoveries and rarities of the world’s most famous mountains, the Dolomites.
This museum in South Tyrol was founded in 1995 by Michael Wachtler, a nature lover and archaeologist, and is a valuable documentation center related to the beautiful world of the Dolomites. Dolomythos accompanies visitors on a fascinating journey through time from prehistory to the present. This museum in the Puster Valley displays fossils of flora and fauna and provides information about the cave bears of the Conturines, the most significant gold find in the Alps, prehistoric reptiles, Megachirella wachtleri, the ancestor of snakes and lizards, and animals that have existed for millennia.
In the world of crystals and in the Dolomythos Cinema, visitors can discover this fantastic realm of the Dolomites.
