The city thus ends up concentrating a fairly traditional hospitality offer, made up of hotels mainly frequented by those traveling for work; while tourists definitely take greater advantage of the mentioned Conero and the beaches at its feet, Numana above all. Here and along the entire Marchigian coastline the offer is as varied as it is refined; star-rated hotels and villages set in valuable environmental contexts alternate with guesthouses, small family-run hotels, B&Bs and room rentals. As their very name suggests, the Marche region comprises many territories together, many different souls but absolutely complementary, a perfect puzzle with interlocking pieces. This means that also on the hospitality front, alongside the hotels on the coast, you can find, in the first inland area, quiet and inviting farmhouses converted into rural relais, where traditions and old customs especially live on through the cuisine; or stone houses perched on hillside ridges, with cozy rooms and endless care from the hosts; or villages that repopulate as diffused hotels, scattered among the rows of vineyards in the Macerata or Ascoli areas. Finally, perhaps agritourisms with facilities where you can also indulge in horse riding courses or typical cooking classes. The Marche are so varied that everyone can find the accommodation that best suits them.
Where to Sleep in the Marche
Ancona is a decidedly attractive city, hilly, rich in monuments and unsuspected beauties, and it is almost a shame to reserve only fleeting visits while waiting to board the ferries to Greece or Croatia, or to just skim past it on the route to the green and wooded Conero, where, besides inviting beaches, there are also numerous hotels and holiday villages.
