Since its inception, the Museum has been a fundamental place for understanding scientific phenomena and their technological and practical applications.
Technology and science increasingly shape our daily lives often without mediation, also raising ethical questions that are difficult to consider consciously.
Although operating in an economic context not comparable to other European institutions, where museums and science centers receive significantly higher funding, our Museum is making a great effort to meet society’s needs.
Alongside research and preservation, education is one of the main functions of a museum and a key objective of the current Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology Foundation.
Our offerings are based on the approach of “informal education.” Experiences in the interactive laboratories (i.lab) and collections are focused on discovery and exploration. Our goal is to help visitors use their knowledge and skills to interpret objects and phenomena and take an active role in their own learning process.
A journey of discovery, experience, emotion, and understanding accessible to everyone.
In the meantime, enjoy browsing the site, but we look forward to welcoming you to the Museum.
