Il Museo has been a fundamental place for understanding scientific phenomena and their technological and practical applications since its inception.
Technology and science dominate our daily lives often without mediation, also raising ethical questions that are difficult to choose consciously.
Although in an economic context not comparable to that of other European realities, where museums and science centers receive much higher funding, our Museum is making a great effort to respond to society’s needs.
Alongside research and conservation, education is one of the main functions of a museum and is one of the fundamental objectives of the current Fondazione Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci.
Our proposals are based on the approach of “informal education.” Experiences in the interactive laboratories (i.lab) and in the collections are focused on discovery and exploration. Our goal is to help the visitor use their own knowledge and skills to interpret objects and phenomena and be a protagonist in their own learning processes.
A path of discovery, experience, emotion, and understanding accessible to all.
Meanwhile, enjoy browsing the site, but we look forward to welcoming you at the Museum.
