The Museum of Artisan Techniques and Traditions in Tossicia was established with the aim of promoting the territory of the Sicilian Valley and enhancing its historical, cultural, and artistic heritage. The exhibition aims to preserve and safeguard the knowledge of local craftsmanship, especially among students of all ages. The exhibition path is divided into four related sections that consider the most significant artisan products linked to the agro-pastoral world, symbolized by four elements: copper, fabrics, wood, and cereals. Regarding each of these themes, the Museum offers activities and live experiences involving students and teachers in the knowledge and exploration of materials and their related transformation techniques. Moreover, the museum hosts a contemporary art exhibition, consisting of the rich collection of works donated to the museum by the artist Annunziata Scipione, including a beautiful fresco celebrating the territory.
