Summary
NH Collection Rome Palazzo Cinquecento
The new hotel, operated by NH Collection, is housed in a building that was once the headquarters of the Railways and Post Office, a splendid example of twentieth-century architecture rich in details in Liberty style. Among these features is the enchanting staircase decorated with geometric motifs that flows harmoniously across the 5 floors of the hotel. NH Collection Rome Palazzo Cinquecento offers 177 spacious and comfortable rooms (82 Superior, 56 Premium, 8 Premium XL, 20 Junior Suites, and 11 Suites), furnished in an elegant and refined style, equipped with all the comforts and services that characterize the high standards of the NH Collection brand, designed to provide a unique stay experience.
The property has a theme closely connected to the journey, which is reflected throughout its spaces. Starting with the restaurant “Grand Tour”, which offers guests a memorable culinary experience of local traditions through the tastes and flavors of Italian cuisine.
The hotel also features two cocktail bars, ideal locations for enjoying a drink at the end of the day. One of the bars, decorated with exclusive design pieces, is located on the fifth floor and overlooks the stunning panoramic terrace, offering a unique view of Rome.
A highlight of NH Collection Rome Palazzo Cinquecento is the 600 sqm large terrace that allows views extending across the horizon: the profiles of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Altare della Patria, St. Peter’s Dome, and Gianicolo are clearly visible. The space is suitable for organizing fashion, art, musical events, and private parties.
The hotel offers 4 meeting rooms that once again immerse guests in the theme of travel and the historical essence of the building as a former railway headquarters. The rooms are named after the main Roman train stations: Trastevere, Porta Portese, Porta Maggiore, Termini. To host conferences, business meetings, or to celebrate events and special occasions, guests can also take advantage of the two executive rooms and the Prive room, ideal for guests seeking a private environment and exclusive service. An equipped fitness area completes the offerings.
Location of NH Collection Rome Palazzo Cinquecento
NH Collection Rome Palazzo Cinquecento boasts an exceptional location in the lively center of Rome, in the square of the same name, Cinquecento. Dedicated to the five hundred Italian soldiers who fell in the Battle of Dogali in 1887, the square has undergone numerous architectural and urban restoration interventions that have revealed an extraordinary historical and artistic heritage. In particular, entire sections of Servian Walls dating back to the Republican Era have been discovered, marks of the city’s first urban boundary. Built in the 6th century BC at the behest of Rome’s sixth king, Servius Tullius, and reconstructed after a plundering by the Gauls in 390 BC, they are now preserved in the garden in front of NH Collection Palazzo Cinquecento and represent a true archaeological treasure.
