MarinoBus, the Italian brand of passenger road transport, announces important news for the upcoming summer: from July 4th, following the debut last year of the lines on the Ionian side of Calabria and the excellent results achieved in the following months despite the pandemic, the “woodpecker” buses will also debut in the Cosenza area.

In particular, Cosenza and the municipalities of Tarsia, Spezzano, Frascineto, also passing through Lauria in Basilicata and Sala Consilina in the province of Salerno. Additionally, travel options from Crotone and nearby areas will increase, with stops at Cirò Marina, Cariati, Mirto Crosia, Rossano, Corigliano, Sibari, and Amendola.

Moreover, starting from the same date, many new destinations in the center and north will be added to the MarinoBus network: L’Aquila, Giulianova, and Teramo in Abruzzo, Civitanova, San Benedetto del Tronto, and Urbino in Marche, Todi in Umbria, Arezzo in Tuscany, Piacenza in Emilia, Savona, Imperia, Sanremo, and Ventimiglia in Liguria, Alessandria, Asti, Alba, Cuneo, Novara, and Vercelli in Piedmont, Monza and Voghera in Lombardy, Rovereto in Trentino, Portogruaro in Veneto, and Trieste, Monfalcone, and Palmanova in Friuli Venezia Giulia. These new stops complement many others already served for some time in these regions.

The result is a network of increasingly widespread connections to comfortably reach, even from the southernmost centers, an incredible number of destinations throughout Italy – from Naples to Rome, from Perugia to Bologna, from Milan to Turin – and abroad, from Switzerland to Germany, from France to Luxembourg.

Those who have traveled with MarinoBus in recent months have appreciated the levels of comfort and safety: spacious, state-of-the-art vehicles with XXL seats that make it easy to maintain distancing, and on which the MarinoBus Safety Protocol applies. These are ad hoc rules and measures, tested over a year: regular and extraordinary sanitization operations, body temperature measurement, mask obligation, sole sanitization, safety seat covers, and divider curtains between passengers, in addition to controls of any required passenger documentation (e.g., self-certifications, vaccination certificates, green pass).

Furthermore, passengers will have the opportunity to travel aboard buses adorned with the profile of Dante Alighieri’s face and featuring reproductions of some of the most famous verses from the Divine Comedy: these are MarinoBus buses created as part of “La diritta via,” celebrating the Supreme Poet on the 700th anniversary of his death. For this reason, until the end of the year, tickets – available online via the free MarinoBus app or at www.marinobus.it, by phone at the toll-free number 080 3112335, or in person at numerous authorized travel agencies and ticket offices – will feature special artwork dedicated to Dante and his famous verses.
