Madagascar Airlines expands its regional network in the Indian Ocean through a codeshare agreement with Ewa Air, enhancing connections and services between Madagascar, Mayotte, and Comoros.
Madagascar Airlines has announced a significant strengthening of its regional connectivity through a codeshare agreement with the airline Ewa Air. This partnership allows Madagascar Airlines to market flights operated by Ewa Air under its own MD code, thereby expanding the network of connections in the Indian Ocean.
In particular, the flights involved link Mayotte with various Malagasy destinations, including Antananarivo, Antsiranana, Mahajanga, and Nosy Be, as well as providing a connection to Moroni, the capital of Comoros, via Mayotte.
Thanks to this collaboration, Madagascar Airlines offers passengers a smoother and more integrated travel experience, which includes the possibility to purchase a single ticket for the entire itinerary, protected connections, and baggage check-in to the final destination. The agreement also helps to promote the development of commercial and tourist exchanges in the region, improving mobility between the countries of the Indian Ocean.
