Now in its third edition (Reggio Emilia 2018, Molfetta January 2019), the American Day in its island version presents itself as a participatory and educational event with the common goal of promoting the United States of America. Travel agents specializing in the destination, who within the organization are called USA Ambassador and USA Master depending on their level of involvement, coming from all over Sardinia and the “mainland,” can deepen their knowledge and interact directly with operators (airlines, car rentals, cruise companies, tour operators, etc.), often encountered, even virtually, in the various webinars that periodically, since four years ago, Visti USA Italy produces and distributes for free.
During Saturday, September 21, travel agents can attend quick, ten-minute meetings to gather materials, information, and ideas about the United States, in order to improve destination sales. A kind of “one to one de visu” which, even in the digital age where virtual interactions are often preferred for saving time and money, still retains its human appeal.
The American Day will be sponsored by wines from Finger Lakes, a region in the State of New York, which sommelier Roberto Anesi will present in both white and red versions, depending on pairings and tastes. A way to draw Italians’ attention to lesser-known vinicultural areas in the United States.
Who is Visit USA Italy?
VisitUSA Italy is a non-profit organization whose main purpose is to promote and develop tourism from Italy to the United States.
