Airports of Spain: Testing Centers Ready

As many as 15 Spanish airports will activate Covid testing centers for departing passengers. The service will help facilitate the return of tourists to their destinations.

The airports where the COVID testing centers will be enabled are:

  • Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas
  • Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat
  • Málaga-Costa del Sol
  • Alicante-Elche
  • Valencia
  • Seville
  • Bilbao
  • Palma de Mallorca
  • Ibiza
  • Minorca
  • Tenerife South
  • Gran Canaria
  • Fuerteventura
  • César Manrique-Lanzarote
  • La Palma.

The COVID testing centers will help facilitate the return of tourists to their destinations, and to access the airport to take these tests, it will be necessary to present the boarding pass, as entry is reserved solely for passengers. The centers will be equipped with an area to perform the test, along with waiting and isolation areas, and must ensure the privacy of the passenger.

In case of a positive result after conducting a SARS-CoV-2 PDIA test, health alert protocols established by the health authorities of the autonomous communities will be activated. The facilities will be located in the departure areas of flights and will mainly perform tests for passengers who need them at the destination airport where health controls requiring negative results upon arrival have been imposed.

According to the offers presented, the price range is between 70 and 58 euros for PCR (molecular test); from 29.17 to 24.45 euros for antigen tests (rapid tests), and from 35 to 29.34 euros for serological tests.
