Malaysia has lifted COVID-19 restrictions, including testing for fully vaccinated travelers and the outdoor mask mandate.
Travelers who are fully vaccinated, those who contracted COVID-19 from 6 to 60 days before departure, and children aged 12 or younger will no longer be required to follow pre-departure and arrival testing protocols. All others must continue to undergo testing and observe a mandatory five-day quarantine.
Travel insurance will no longer be a prerequisite for foreigners entering the country.
Check-in via the MySejahtera tracking app will no longer be required and unvaccinated individuals will also be able to access public venues. Only those who tested positive for the virus and are under home surveillance orders will be restricted from entry. People testing positive for COVID-19 may leave the quarantine period earlier if the professional-supervised RTK-Ag test on the fourth day is negative.

Wearing masks remains mandatory indoors, including shopping centers and public transportation, and is still encouraged outdoors. Wearing masks in crowded outdoor areas is recommended.
Malaysia fully reopened its borders on April 1st, more than two years after restricting outbound and inbound travelers due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
