BTM 2020, the 6th edition of Business Tourism Management in Lecce

From February 20th to 22nd in Lecce, the 6th edition of BTM, the Business Tourism Management, one of the international events on tourism.

A mix of training, workshops, seminars, food, and new technologies for the BTM in Lecce 2020 edition. New: Btm Love dedicated to destination wedding tourism. There are 80 buyers from all over the world.

Meetings, training, workshops, marketing strategies, seminars, food, hospitality, producers, cultural event organizers, tour operators, and travel agencies. Also, startups and new technologies like artificial intelligence.

These are the many keywords with which the 6th edition of BTM – Business Tourism Management, one of the most interesting international events about tourism, will open. From Thursday, February 20 to Saturday, February 22, Lecce (Lecce Fiere) will bring together the main players in the tourism sector such as buyers and sellers, institutions, experts, and tourism operators, allowing for an exchange between supply and demand to plan new marketing strategies for the growth of the Apulian region.

The program was presented today, Tuesday, February 11, on the occasion of BIT in Milan at the Pugliapromozione exhibition area.

“An event that grows year after year. There are many new features in this edition,” say Mary Roberta Rossi and Nevio D’Arpa of Btm, “such as BtminLove dedicated to destination wedding tourism. The wedding sector, in fact, represents an extraordinary opportunity for development and internationalization for the entire regional area. It is estimated at 440 million euros in business with over a million visitors, placing our region third nationally, both for its beauty and for the quality of offered services. This is precisely why BTM has chosen to open a dedicated focus on weddings, with training sessions and workshops.”

Special focus will also be given to food and wine tourism in the BtmGusto section (Puglia is the third most popular Italian region for food and wine tourism). Producers and service companies in the sector will present and showcase a unique territory, Puglia, through showcooking and tastings, as a destination increasingly sought after by foreign tourists identified as foodies.

From this edition, BTM will rely on a scientific committee composed of professionals from major tourism sectors who have selected the most interesting topics in terms of travel and tourism and new technologies. Furthermore, another strength will be the B2B event, which will pave the way for meetings between buyers and sellers. 80 international buyers from all over the world will participate in BTM.

Among the speakers at BTM2020 will also be Anna Bruno, director of FullTravel.it, with a speech in the Main Hall on February 22 at 3:30 pm, featuring her book Digital Travel.

In short, three days ‘around Puglia’ discovering unique destinations, emerging trends, new ways to experience travel, and plenty of ideas for all kinds of travelers.

BTM, organized by the agency 365 giorni in Puglia, is aimed at the public and professional operators in the tourism sector.

BTMGusto, dedicated to food and wine tourism. The “Village Teg” of BTM Gusto, organized in work areas, will offer a coworking space for discussions, idea exchanges, and project presentations, Lab areas for tastings and in-depth knowledge of products, and the tasting island, a space dedicated to show cooking and masterclasses. These work areas will be available to exhibitors and guests for the three days of BTM. For the 2020 edition, the tasting tables will also be introduced, open only at certain times and reserved for Teg sector experts, who will taste the best of Puglia as told by those who produce it and turn it into unique culinary experiences.

B2B. 80 Italian and foreign buyers will participate in BTM, carefully selected by the organization, from the MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition), LEISURE, LUXURY (Business and Wedding), and SPORT and TEG sectors, coming from Italy, England, Germany, France, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Hungary, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, Canada, United States, Australia, etc., who will be offered matching activities aimed at connecting operators and their tourism activities. In the 3 days leading up to the B2B, some of the buyers participating in the B2B will join an Educational Trip (Fam trip) that will let them discover and experience some of Puglia’s many unique destinations.
