Inaugurated in 1977 in the premises of the fortress, it has its main core in the private collection of the painter Cornacchia, acquired by the local Mountain Community and composed of objects coming from the valleys of the Senio, Lamone, and Marzeno rivers. About two thousand three hundred pieces, not all on display to the public, document the local craftsmanship thanks to the faithful reconstruction of some traditional workshops: the shoemaker, the saddler, the blacksmith, the farrier, the grinder. In the exhibition route, arranged in fourteen rooms, agricultural production, the cultivation and manufacturing of hemp and wool, the breeding of silkworms, and the processing of plaster are illustrated. In the basements, oak barrels, vats, equipment, and furnishing objects document activities related to winemaking, while in the courtyard some agricultural carts are displayed.
