Un modo alternativo per scoprire le tante facce della Valle d’Aosta è preventivare delle passeggiate lungo i suoi canali irrigui. Gli itinerari dei ru – questo il nome che si dà ai canali anticamente utilizzati per l’irrigazione dei campi – sapranno regalare non solo scorci di panorama diversamente non così ben osservabili ma, al tempo stesso, un’immersione nella storia antica di questi luoghi.
Ecco dunque una serie di itinerari dei ru della Valle d’Aosta, con indicazione del livello di difficoltà del cammino, della tempistica necessaria e del periodo migliore per inoltrarsi a piedi.
Ru de Ruet
This is an easy route, recommended for everyone, with an elevation gain of 76 meters and an estimated travel time of about 45 minutes. The Ru de Ruet originates from the Clusellaz stream and reaches the orchards of Sarre, where it still carries water today. The view from the village of Sarre itself is very interesting: it is indeed possible to notice the mountain, now so to speak halfway. About 500 years ago, in fact, there was the terrible Becca France landslide that swept away the village of Thoura. It is advisable to venture out between March and October.
