As more airlines encourage passengers to check in online to speed up boarding, easyJet has launched an innovative initiative: the “Mobile Boarding Pass.”
In selected airports, travelers can now show their boarding pass directly from their tablet or smartphone to staff at the security checkpoint, eliminating the need to print out a paper boarding pass.
This approach is eco-friendly and offers a faster way to book tickets and check in online, with no need for a printer.

Once you’ve completed the steps to obtain your boarding pass, the document is automatically saved on your device. You can retrieve it whenever needed, even offline, without connecting to Wi-Fi or 3G.
Everything works through the Passbook app, compatible with all Apple iOS and Android devices. In the coming months, the service will extend to Windows Phone and BlackBerry.
In the initial phase, this pilot project is available to passengers departing from Stansted, London Southend, Manchester, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, and Nice airports.
Depending on the results, easyJet may expand the service to more airports in its network.
