Air Europa Hand Luggage
Air Europa hand luggage refers to the item each passenger can bring into the aircraft cabin. The standard size and weight limits are:
- 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm (or the sum of length, width, and height must not exceed 115 cm)
- The handle, pockets, and wheels are included in the measurements.
The maximum hand luggage weight for Air Europa economy is 10 kg. For Air Europa business class, two options apply: up to 14 kg for medium-haul and up to 18 kg for long-haul flights. On ATR aircraft, the hand luggage maximum is 8 kg and 55x35x20 cm.
In addition to your hand luggage, you may bring one personal item (20x35x30 cm) per passenger, choosing from the following:
- A handbag,
- a laptop,
- a tablet.
The additional item must fit under the seat in front of you.
Air Europa Hand Luggage: Liquids
- Liquids in hand luggage (drinks, perfumes, creams, gels, etc.) are only allowed in containers of up to 100 ml.
- All containers must be placed in a transparent, resealable bag (about 20 cm x 20 cm) and shown separately for security screening.
Air Europa Checked Baggage
Checked baggage refers to luggage transported in the aircraft hold, also known as checked-in baggage.
- The standard size and weight limits are:
- 23 kg
- 158 cm (total length of all sides)
- The handle, pockets, and wheels are included in the measurements.
- Excess baggage: Any additional item or piece over the weight allowance, up to a maximum of 32 kg per piece, requires payment of the corresponding fees.
- No single bag may weigh more than 32 kg. If this limit is exceeded, the excess must be packed in a separate bag, subject to an excess baggage fee.

Air Europa Baggage with Children
- Children up to 2 years old are allowed one bag with food, drinks, and essentials for the flight as hand luggage. Children over 2 years have the same baggage allowance as adults.
- Wheelchairs for passengers with reduced mobility and strollers must be checked and transported in the aircraft hold. You can keep them until you reach the aircraft door, where they will be handed over to airline staff and stowed in the hold.
- Some aircraft in the fleet operating short and medium-haul routes (e.g., ATR and Embraer E145) are smaller, which may mean hand luggage must be checked for those flights. In this case, luggage is returned upon arrival at the aircraft door.
Air Europa Extra Baggage
Certain items can be transported under special conditions on board, depending on space and available weight at boarding. Acceptance is at the sole discretion of the crew.
Special Baggage
Air Europa Oversize Items in the Cabin
Bags that exceed standard size but fit within the cabin’s maximum dimensions must pay the equivalent of a passenger seat. If the item exceeds these dimensions, it must be transported as cargo.
Air Europa Oversize Checked Baggage
This is not considered standard checked baggage and is not subject to the usual 32 kg bag limit. The transport fee is €150. Sports equipment follows the same rules as checked baggage, but some special items require an extra fee of €75 per journey. If the equipment exceeds the allowed weight, an overweight charge applies.
Items not included face an extra charge of €75 per trip except for surfboards, hang gliders, and paragliders, which are charged at €150 per trip.
If the equipment exceeds the permitted weight, an overweight fee must be paid. Bicycles, surfboards, hang gliders, paragliders, poles, or other bulky sports equipment cannot be carried on ATR or E145 flights or similar aircraft. Exceptionally, a limited number of surfboards are permitted on flights within the Canary Islands, subject to availability and pre-arrangement with Customer Service. Prices may be subject to additional taxes in some countries.
