Soprabolzano (BZ) – The Bella Posta of Soprabolzano has officially opened after a major redevelopment, marking a new milestone in the hospitality journey of the Holzner family on the Renon plateau. The facility, opened in April, offers a contemporary stay concept, designed to combine comfort, nature, technology, and rediscovered leisure time.

The project is born in a territory strongly linked to South Tyrolean vacationing, just minutes from Bolzano but immersed in a quieter, brighter landscape. Bella Posta presents itself as a rebirth rather than a simple reopening: a place to be experienced naturally, where the stay adapts to the rhythm of the guest and the dialogue with the Renon landscape.

A new opening on the Renon plateau

The new Bella Posta hotel fits into the long tradition of hospitality of the Holzner family, active for over a century on the Renon. The facility interprets hospitality in an essential and convivial key, with particular attention to guest wellness, sustainability, and the relationship with the South Tyrolean territory.

The redevelopment involved the internal and external spaces, giving the facility a new identity. The result is a hotel that maintains its connection to its history but rereads it through a more current, bright, and functional language.

36 rooms between main house and dépendance

Bella Posta has 36 rooms spread between the main house and the dépendance. The environments are designed to respond to different ways of experiencing the stay, with more intimate or more airy solutions, united by essential lines, discreet materials, and large openings toward the landscape.

The design moves away from the more traditional codes of alpine hotellerie and introduces vivid colors, refined details, and bright atmospheres, with an almost Mediterranean sensitivity. Some rooms also have private outdoor spaces, naturally expanding the dimension of the stay toward gardens, woods, and mountains.

The dépendance introduces a more independent formula, also suitable for flexible stays thanks to the presence of a kitchenette. A solution that allows guests to experience Bella Posta with greater autonomy without giving up hotel services.

Gioia Spa and Dolce Vita All Day

One of the central elements of the experience is the Gioia Spa, where the heated indoor pool opens towards the garden and the mountains of Renon. Finnish sauna, herbal steam bath, and relaxation areas complete an environment designed to slow down the pace and promote a refreshing break.

Outside, the garden follows the rhythm of the seasons and becomes the green heart of the facility: an open space to linger without hurry, in continuity with the surrounding landscape.

The gastronomic offering also follows the same philosophy of freedom. The Dolce Vita All Day formula includes extended breakfast, light buffet during the day, afternoon aperitif, and full dinner with wines and drinks included. The bar & lounge with panoramic terrace adds another convivial space, suitable for a morning break, a sunny aperitif, or a moment of relaxation with a view from Renon towards Bolzano.

Technology, mobility, and territory

Contributing to a simpler stay experience are the Smart Stay system and the South Tyrol Guest Pass, which allows travel between trains, buses, and cable cars, quickly connecting the quiet of the plateau with the city of Bolzano.

This aspect strengthens the positioning of the facility in an increasingly relevant segment for alpine hospitality: slow stays, sustainable mobility, wellness, and accessibility to territorial services.

From the Unterhofer farm to the new Bella Posta

The origins of the main building date back to 1565, when it hosted the Unterhofer farm. After centuries linked to agriculture, in the nineteenth century the facility opened to travelers assuming the role of an inn. In 1907 the Gasthof Hofer reopened renovated, with rooms and services modern for the time, as well as an Austro-Hungarian post office with telegraph.

During the twentieth century, the building became a point of reference for hospitality on the Renon, intertwining its path with that of the Holzner family, active since 1908 with the Parkhotel Holzner. Today the main building and the former Villa Victoria converge in the Bella Posta project, transforming a place historically linked to transit into a space dedicated to staying.

The redevelopment, signed by Studio Raro from Trento, preserved the original character, reinterpreting it in a contemporary key. The historical body was renovated in interior and exterior spaces, including the garden, while the dépendance was rebuilt between 2024 and 2025.

The new opening of Bella Posta strengthens South Tyrol’s accommodation offer with a proposal that combines redevelopment, wellness, stay autonomy, and sustainable mobility. For operators, agencies, and tourism professionals, the facility represents an example of contemporary alpine hospitality, capable of enhancing the territory without giving up a fresher and more international language.
