At the Awards for Excellence 2020, the annual award for the best hotels in the world, Italy wins in 7 out of 19 categories: meetings and conferences, weddings and special events, small and exclusive property, engaging experience, culinary experience, best hotel on the water, and sustainability. The awards were presented during the usual and exclusive gala dinner at The May Fair Hotel in London.
The awards are the result of a full year of online votes, guest feedback, and reports from Conde Nast Johansens Local Experts regarding hotels listed on both the website and paper guides. Each winner received a framed certificate, a trophy, and a bottle of Pol Roger Brut Reserve NV champagne.
