Four Seasons Hotel Milano announces a temporary closure due to a complete renovation starting from January 2021. Full reopening scheduled for the end of 2021.
Four Seasons Hotel Milano will undergo a complete renovation of its spaces: the common areas, the restaurant and bar, the rooms and suites, and all meeting rooms will be affected by the works that will be carried out in different phases throughout 2021, and will be completed by the end of the year.
Summary
Architect Patricia Urquiola
Four Seasons Hotel Milano has chosen Patricia Urquiola to breathe new life into its spaces; Urquiola, Spanish by origin but with a strong Italian influence, following her studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan under the guidance of the renowned Italian designer Achille Castiglioni, is the most natural choice for Four Seasons Hotel Milano: a hotel that is a symbol of fashion and design city.
The Garden
To revive its famous internal garden, a true oasis of relaxation in the city center, the hotel will turn to the expert landscape architect and agronomist Flavio Pollano, a connoisseur of “green verticals,” botany, and garden design, who has worked on renowned projects worldwide, including the landscape component of the Italy Pavilion at Dubai 2020 World Expo.
New Lobby and Lounge
The purpose of the first phase of renovation will include a new lobby and lounge, a new restaurant, and a new bar. Not only will the restaurant and bars be completely renovated, but they will also have a totally new identity. Executive Chef Fabrizio Borraccino will remain at the helm of the culinary team, and his menu offerings will be completely reworked to best meet the needs of a cosmopolitan clientele like Milanese, with new proposals based on meticulously selected ingredients.
Once the first phase of renovation is completed by spring 2021, Four Seasons Hotel Milano will reopen its doors, continuing renovation works on the rooms, suites, and meeting rooms. The renovation works will continue throughout the year, but their execution—in different phases—will ensure that guests’ stay and experience are not interrupted.
