In pursuit of expanding into the French market, the German company HomeToGo has finalized the acquisition of AMIVAC, a leader in the short rental market in France.
The short vacation metasearch engine, HomeToGo, has finalized the purchase of the French company AMIVAC, a leader in the short rental market in France. The terms of the acquisition, signed last August but completed this week, have not been disclosed.
AMIVAC also owns and operates the websites Vacances and Vacances SeLoger. The strategy behind the agreement is to give HomeToGo a stronger foothold in France and help grow its subscription platform and services.
HomeToGo’s CEO and co-founder, Patrick Andrae, stated: “The vacation rental market is incredibly fragmented both in France and internationally, but it is evolving rapidly and accelerating growth with the favorable winds experienced during the pandemic. The combination of AMIVAC’s already high brand awareness and our global reach offers an incredible opportunity for both our newly acquired partners and our business as we look to the future.”
